Prerna Nepal engage itself in mainly two core issues–minority rights and development of minorities such as Dalits and vulnerable, Janajati, Madhesi, Adibashi, women.and children. To meet its goals, Prerna Nepal has actively involved in research activities, national campaigns, national and international dialogues. Prerna Nepal is transparent and democratic NGO in Nepal. The decision making process and organizational management and election of leadership in regular and periodical basis are carried out democratically; according to the provision of the constitution of Prerna Nepal. The TDS (Tax Deduction at Sources) is another key characteristic feature of Prerna Nepal. This shows the Prerna Nepals commitment on democratic norms and values, transparency and accountability in true spirits both in theory and practice General Membership is awarded to the interested person with clear commitments to work on peace, democracy and development issues. The applicant must have clear commitment with its rules and regulations and must be actively involved in Prerna Nepal activities at least since one year and should show the possibilities how he can contribute to the organization and should state his expectations from Prerna Nepal and its members. Membership has to be renewed every year. Executive committee selects the members from the applicants.

Accountability System

Executive Body bears the main responsibility of the organization. This Body selects a director and other staff members as and when required. The director is responsible for all the daily activities of the organization and coordinates and executes research activities carried out by the organization and mobilizes volunteers as required. Its 0ffice is currently run by an administrative officer, accountant and office helper. These are the paid staff.

Transparency System

Prerna Nepal audits its financial report every year. The report then is presented in General Assembly and a public hearing among the members takes place. Beside this, Prerna Nepal presents its financial report of each and every program at the venue right after the closing.
